Saving Behaviour: Factors That Affect Saving Decisions (Systematic Literature Review Approach)

Savings have an important role as alternative funding when the primary income is in trouble. Previous research on saving behavior has been carried out fragmentary, which causes conclusions to be partial. Therefore, it necessary with a systematic literature review method obtain complete conclusion about factors that can influence individual decisions. In this study, articles used consisted of 124 published by Elsevier from 2012-2021. The results show over past ten years, 185 countries and regions, consisting 18 analytical methods. meta-synthesis 15 decision, viz: personal wealth, needs dependency, macroeconomic, demographic, financial literacy, anticipatory, psychological social, profit, self-obligation, service, savings product marketing, job profile, self-preference, goals, geographic. fifteen are classified into two groups: internal (consisting 10 factors) external 5 factors).
